Metaphor for My Life?

I made a gingerbread house at a party tonight. It was colorful and bright, but the roof started to sink. Eventually, it completely collapsed. "Not fit for human habitation. Do not trespass!"

I love your house, it is beautiful...
(and by the way.... what do gingerbread houses say about nature? and America? and myth? and symbol? Just kidding.)

I've been to Vietnam; I've been to Baghdad; I've strolled through knee deep water in the New Orleans Circuit City trying to find a DVR that matches my TV; but nothing, and I mean nothing, compares to this scale of devastation. Bill, can we zoom in on the Gumdrops on the left. Yeah, right there. You in the studio, can you see this? Just minutes ago, what I can only assume was a darling gumdrop lean-to completely collapsed in a deadly whirling blender of graham cracker and frosting. My God, is that...is that caramel syrup leaking out from beneath the wreckage?!? Oh, the humanity! Why is the Federal Government dragging their feet here? How hard would it be to airlift a rubber spatula to these devasted homes?!? Even a butter knife would do in times like these! No more footage! Turn the camera off, Bill. Serious. I...I just can't take it anymore...*sob*

Valentina! Of course I remember! How funny to have you come across my humble little blog. I'm so excited for you to go to Logan! Unfortunately, I graduated and don't live there anymore, but I sometimes go back to visit, so maybe we can meet up somehow. Also, you should email me if you have any questions or anything. I'd be so happy to help. Please say hi to people in Innsbruck for me. I really miss being there. Tschuess!
